Em coletiva de imprensa realizada ontem no 10 Fórum Internacional Software Livre-fisl10, o sueco co-fundador do site The Pirate Bay(TPB), Peter Sunde, se manifestou em favor da liberdade na internet. Na ocasião Sunde afirmou que com a realização de ações na justiça e criação de leis para vigiar e cortar o acesso de quem faz download, as indústrias de música e de cinema pretendem manter um modelo de negócio que não faz mais sentido nos dias de hoje.

“Não adianta, as pessoas não vão parar de baixar. Querer ser contra este fato é como querer ilegalizar a cor azul. Por mais que se apague, sempre vai haver algo azul em algum lugar”, afirmou o sueco.

Apesar de ter sido condenado recentemente por um tribunal sueco a um ano de prisão sob acusação de quebra de direito autoral, Sunde, demonstrou na coletiva não ter deixado de lado sua luta pela liberdade tecnológica e da internet.

“Se uma obra tem licenças, então ela tem restrições. Sou contra qualquer tipo de restrição. Todo mundo deveria ter o direito de baixar o quanto e o que quiser, seja para qualquer finalidade, comercial ou não. O público já decidiu que não deseja pagar nada pelo conteúdo”, completou o co-fundador do TPB.

Peter Sunde apresenta hoje no fisl10, às 15 horas, a palestra “The Pirate Bay uncovered”, onde aboradará, entre outras questões, temas ligados ao julgamento do portal.

Iniciado ontem, dia 24 de junho, o fisl se estende até o dia 27 de junho e ocorre no Centro de Eventosda PUCRS, em Porto Alegre.
